Starting in Gramercy Park, in one of New York's most high-class neighborhoods, and ending with the Hudson River Park, in an area that was once the a major slum, this itinerary will take us through another, less glamorous, part of midtown Manhattan. However, we will explore the structures that bear witness to the social changes in the city's history, such as the Flatiron Building, the Macy's Department Store and the Madison Square Garden Complex. And we will learn about the rivaling newspapers that captured that history, concentrating our attention on one of the most authoritative publications in the world, "The New York Times".
