This itinerary will take us through the most elegant and exclusive of all Venetian sestieri: Dorsoduro. Translated as "the hard spine", this neighborhood is indeed very narrow and much straighter than all the others. It is also the quietest, since, not having as much space as other parts of the city, tourists cannot explore it en masse.
Dorsoduro is the best place to wind up your walk through Venice. Having reached the Punta della Dogana, which offers the most spectacular view of the bay, you look back at the center of town, at St. Mark's Square, and say to yourself, "Wow! How did I manage to find my way out of this maze?"
