Raval district is considered to be one of the most colorful districts of Barcelona. In the Middle ages it was inhabited by the city poor, emigrants and “gentlemen of fortune”. The local Red Light district and illegal market were also located here. Today the adventure spirit of Raval is supported by the underground communities – the district became a beloved place of the musicians, poets and artists. During our walk we will see the Medieval Churchies, sculptures of modern artists, the hospital, where the great Gaudi died, and historical pubs, where Hemingway and Picasso used to drink.
