Here we are in the centre of Paris, on the island called Cité – at the very heart of the French capital! However, the principal attractions of Le Cité were left in place. We mean, of course, Notre Dame De Paris, and its chapel of Saint-Chapelle; the Conciergerie fortress; the Institut Francais; and a number of individual bridges and squares on the island. They preserve the spirit of Paris – for many the most beautiful city in the world.
