Via Julia is considered to be one of the most elegant streets in Rome. During XVI century it became the center of the Florentine community of Rome, and one of the buzziest quarters in the city. Bankers, merchants, jewelers and the wealthy craftsmen were living here. The most popular architects and artists of the Italian Renaissance have been working here, creating its magnificent churches and palaces.
