Sant'Angelo

Zone: From the Colosseum to Vatican

This excursion takes you through the small district of Rome that few tourists ever find. In Piazza Argentina you will see the remains of the curia - the semicircular hall where the Roman Senate met, and the famous murder of Julius Caesar, the portico of Ottavia and the arcade of the Theatre of Marcellus, which were started under Julius Caesar, and finished under Emperor Augustus in 17 BC. Also you will see a view of medieval Rome – harmonious and complete, although its architecture, by contract with Ancient Roman building, isn't on such a large scale.
