Along the Damrak

Zone: The Old Districts

Our excursion begins from Amsterdam Central Station – the most lively spot in town. Along Niewendijk street we'll take in a few boutiques and coffee-shops. We'll be visiting Dam Square, where we'll see the Royal Palace and the National Monument. By walking along Kalverstraat we'll reach the Catholic cathedral that's nicknamed “The Parrot” - and find out how it got this strange name...as well as seeing some of the typical courtyards that give Amsterdam its unique atmosphere and character.
